In this blog post i will take you through a typical day in running my home bakery business. I will be sharing how i manage my time and insights into balancing baking with other family responsibilities.
Morning Routine:
My day usually begins with taking my dog for her morning walk and after that i enjoy a cup of tea and a quiet moment of reflection to set intention for the day.
Baking time:
I preheat my oven and prep all the ingredients and start reviewing all my orders for the day and create a baking schedule so that everything is done on time and all orders are delivered on time for all my customers.
Once the oven is ready its time to dive into the baking marathon. From baking the cake base to decorating the cake, i pay attention to every detail with precision and care.
Juggling acts:
Home baking can be challenging sometimes when you have other family responsibilities too. So its very important to have a schedule and work according to it . But despite all of it sometimes unexpected challenges often arise like ingredients shortages and last minutes orders from recurring clients which i cannot refuse at all. We need to learn to prioritize certain task and learn to outsourced certain aspects like marketing.
Customers Interactions:
One of the best part of the day for me is interaction with customers over phone or through messages and building relationship with them. The key of a successful home bakery is responding to all inquiries on time, address customers feedback and expressing gratitude for all their love and support.
My day ends when all the orders are delivered to all my customers and despite the days work it always bring me joy to see the happy faces.
Conclusions:
Running a home bakery is a whirlwind of activity, joy and moments of gratitude. Despite the challenges with early morning prep till late night clean up , everyday brings a lot of opportunities sharing my passion with the people around.
With effective time management and flexibility and pure passion I am able to successfully run a home bakery alone and strike a balance with other aspects of my life too.
Thank you all for joining me today.
